Gordon Rohlehr is Professor Emeritus, Department of Liberal Arts, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. He is the author of Calypso and Society in Pre-Independence Trinidad (1990); My Strangled City and Other Essays (1992); The Shape of that Hurt and Other Essays (1992); A Scuffling Islands: Essays on Calypso (2004); and Trangression, Transition, Transformation: Essays in Caribbean Culture (2007). He is a co-editor of Voice Print (1988).
