Dewar, Ann Marie
Ann Marie Dewar is a trained teacher, and freelance training designer and facilitator, who holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of London.
She has had a productive and successful career in education, lay advocacy, and public service, spanning more than 52 years, and has received a number of awards for her services to Education, Culture and Public Service.
An accomplished musician, singer, choral director, stage manager, creole poet, and costume maker, Ann Marie has also been involved in the performing arts, locally, regionally and internationally, for over 50 years. She writes mainly in the Montserratian Creole language, and her poetry has appeared in a number of local, regional and international publications. Her first collection of poems is expected to be published shortly.
